Purchasing a membership gives you access to full long-term problems and MUCH more!

Welcome to the 2024-2025 Odyssey of the Mind season. If you’re new to Odyssey, you may have reviewed our problem synopses and wondered, how do I participate? If you’re a returning coach, you may be raring to get to those full long-term problems.

To gain access to the full problems for this season, you must purchase a national membership.

Odyssey HQ, the national organization, has been working to update the user experience for their members. This includes an update of the member area and registration process. The national organization has provided this .pdf to help walk you through the registration process.

Returning coaches, one thing you will notice is that your team now has a Contact ID. You will need this ID to pay your NorCal Association Membership fee. You can find your ID by logging in to Odyssey HQ, going to the Teams tab, and clicking on Competition Home.

An entire school can participate in Odyssey of the Mind for $290. This membership fee covers 5 to 15 teams, including an unlimited number of Primary (K-2) teams. That is one team per division (age group) for the five non-Primary problems. There is also a modest NorCal membership fee of $80 and a registration fee of $85 to participate in Association tournaments.

NorCal Association fees pay for everything including the tournament sites, spontaneous supplies, all other supplies (paper, toner, clipboards, signs, pens, sticky notes, etc.), food for the judges, storage site fees to store equipment in the offseason, rental truck to move equipment to and from tournaments and any unexpected expenses. Reminder: Everyone on the Board are volunteers and DO NOT get paid to run the program.
