The new season of Odyssey of the Mind is HERE! We are very excited to provide all of our NorCal OMers the opportunity to participate in Odyssey of the Mind for the 20-21 season while following all school district and state mandates for social distancing and safety. Checkout the new options and resources below that will allow teams to meet those requirements and still participate in Odyssey but most importantly, allow the students to create and have fun.

NEW!!! Two Membership Options
Odyssey of the Mind (CCI) has announced a new and exciting change to this program that has delighted students for the last 40 years. NEW this season…
TWO MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS!!!
Traditional Odyssey Membership – $135
This is our competition membership allowing for one team per problem and division as qualified. These teams can advance to an in-person event, such as World Finals, when safe and legal. If not deemed safe and legal, a Virtual World Finals will be provided under the Traditional platform. This is a great option for groups that have the support of a school or community organization.
Virtual Odyssey Membership – $100
This membership will allow anyone, to form one team of up to 7 team members to compete in a Virtual online competition. Team members DO NOT have to attend the same school, but every team member needs to be a student. These teams have the opportunity to advance to a Virtual Association Finals and the Virtual World Finals. This is a great option for teams that will be participating independent of a school or community organization.

NorCal Odyssey Goes VIRTUAL for 2020-21 Season.
California North Odyssey of the Mind (NorCal) has been hard at work planning for the upcoming season. The safety and wellness of our students and volunteers is a top priority for NorCal Odyssey. Due to restrictions by national, state, county, and local government agencies along with school districts’ use of distance learning, NorCal Odyssey will be holding ALL trainings and tournaments ONLINE for the 2020-21 season. We are eager to see where Omers take their solutions on this new platform. Collaboration online will bring absolutely amazing solutions that will surprise us all.
Resources & Training Materials Online
To assist coaches, teams, and officials NorCal Odyssey will be releasing NEW training programs and instructional videos online which you will be able to access through our website at www.norcalodyssey.org . The first virtual support that will be released will give some tips and how to work with teams online. Look for these to be available by early September.
