A team may participate in one Qualifying Tournament. Please only register for one weekend. Teams wishing to advance to the State Tournament must compete in a Qualifying Tournament.
Teams are encouraged to develop a theme and incorporate creative elements into their solutions in technical, vehicle, structure AND performance long-term problems.
Because students must work in teams, they’ll need to learn how to work cooperatively for the good of the whole group.
Every team will work in its own way and at its own pace. And always remember, kids will surprise you!
Teams will solve several spontaneous problems, each set up as it would be for a tournament!
Since we know teams are always thinking up new things, sometimes clarifications will be needed!
Everything the team uses to complete their solution must be included on the team’s cost form, even if that item has no dollar value.
Each year we bring together kids of all ages, from kindergarteners to high schoolers and watch as they grow their phenomenal creativity and ingenuity through the development of their Odyssey solution.
Being a coach is both challenging and rewarding. Fortunately, both our NorCal Association and the International Organization are here with resources and team members to support you.
