Resist the temptation to wait until the very last minute to do your team paperwork. Your paperwork is the team’s line of communication with the Judges.
Make sure your parent helpers know not to touch ANYTHING or point out that things are broken. Parents and coaches may not direct team members at any point once they are in staging.
A full Dress Rehearsal for families and friends might seem stressful but it has many benefits.
At this point, the tournament is quickly approaching and the team still needs to get major parts of their solution completed. Again, this is NORMAL. And with encouragement, the team CAN do it.
Happy New Year! Don’t be alarmed if it is January and your team still doesn’t have any costumes, any props, any other major parts of their solution completed This is NORMAL.
As you prepare for your long-term solutions, don’t forget to get a little spontaneous in at every practice.
Competitions will take place on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Natomas High School in Sacramento and on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Edna Hill Middle School in Brentwood.
A team may participate in one Qualifying Tournament. Please only register for one weekend. Teams wishing to advance to the State Tournament must compete in a Qualifying Tournament.
Teams are encouraged to develop a theme and incorporate creative elements into their solutions in technical, vehicle, structure AND performance long-term problems.
Because students must work in teams, they’ll need to learn how to work cooperatively for the good of the whole group.
